Wastewater Technician

Remote Group builds and runs mobile water treatment plants for job sites across Alberta and Northern BC. As a Wastewater Technician, you will be the person who sets them up, keeps them running and fixes them when something needs attention. It is practical, skilled work with a clear impact, and no two weeks look exactly the same.

Most of our plants treat 25 m³ per day or less and do not require certification, so you do not need an operator ticket to get started. If you do hold a Level I or II wastewater operator certification, we want to hear from you: there are additional opportunities at Remote for people with that background.

What you will do:

- Set up and tear down Remote's mobile water treatment plants and the ancillary equipment that makes up each on-site treatment system.
- Maintain the equipment and complete on-site repairs to keep plants running reliably.




- Deliver equipment and services at a high standard of quality and safety, every job.
- Follow all applicable safety policies and guidelines, and help make sure every work activity is carried out safely.
- Look for ways to make operations more productive and effective, and keep Remote's costs in mind in your day-to-day decisions.

What you bring:

- A valid Class 5 licence. Many of our sites are far apart, so this is essential.
- The ability to commute reliably to Grande Prairie, or a plan to relocate before you start.
- Comfort with travel and time away from home. Work may take you away from the Grande Prairie area for up to two weeks.
- A safety-first attitude and pride in doing quality work.
- Level I or II wastewater operator certification is a bonus, but it is not required.

The practical details:

- Full-time, in person, based in Grande Prairie, AB.
- Shifts of 8, 10 or 12 hours, with overtime and weekends as needed.
- Equipment is located across Alberta and Northern BC. Expect to be away from the Grande Prairie area for up to two weeks at a time.
