Sidewalks Crew Leader

EDPS Property Services is an all- season property maintenance company serving commercial properties across the GTA, including retail plazas, logistic warehouses and hospitals. We're building our winter sidewalk crews and looking for reliable individuals, who take pride in their works to join our team.

As a Sidewalk Crew Leader at EDPS Property Services, you'll run your own route and crew. When storm hits, you'll lead your team across our commercial sites including retail plazas, warehouses and hospitals keeping every entrance, walkway and ramp safe for the people who rely on them. This is a hands-on role. You'll work alongside crew, set standard and make sure every site is done right, on time and safely.

Responsibilities:

- Lead a crew of 2-5 labourers and operators on an assigned route of commercial sites.
- Complete pre and post - trip inspections on the truck, trailer and equipment before every shift, and make sure equipment and salt are loaded, secured and ready to go, and report any defects, damage or maintenance needs to your Route Supervisor.
- Drive the company truck and trailer between sites.
- Assign the work at each site and make sure it's done safely, efficiently and to each site's service standards.
- Clear snow alongside your crew using snowrators, sidewalk tractors, snow blowers and shovels.
- Apply salt, calcium chloride or liquid anti- icing brine at the correct application rates.




- Make sure entrances, accessible ramps and emergency exits are fully cleared on every visit.
- Watch for refreezing and slip hazards, and report incidents or property damage right away.
- Log arrival and departure times and take before-and after photos at every visit using our mobile app.
- Keep equipment and spreaders clean, calibrated and in good working order.
- Submit your crew's hours at the end of each event.

Requirements:

- 2+ seasons of commercial snow removal experience.
- Experience leading a crew.
- Valid Ontario G-class Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Experience in operating sidewalk equipment ( snowrators, sidewalk tractors, snow blowers) is an asset.
- A smartphone, and comfort using apps for photos and check-ins.
- Ability to work outdoors in sub- zero weather for extended periods of time.
- Availability for overnight, weekend and holiday call-outs on short notice.
