Part time Line Cook - Retirement Community - Every other weekend off!

Hearthstone Community Services offers full-service retirement living for Seniors. We are hiring for our Burlington Location, located by the Lake at the intersection of Burloak and Lakeshore.

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook for our Dining Room.

What our Cooks do:

Preparing meals (short-order lunches and dinners, banquets, buffets, and special events) from a designated menu daily, controlling waste, and ensuring a secure and sanitary workplace

- Work in our food and beverage department, processing and delivering food and beverage orders for both dine in, take out, and suite delivery to our condominium homeowners, members of the Hearthstone Club
- Meal preparation and cooking for dining, pub and catering outlets from pre-determined menus and recipes· Ensure product knowledge , quality and food presentation is consistent to standards· Ensure kitchen and all equipment is maintained and cleaned as instructed· Assist with receiving and inventories




- Comply with Public Heath department, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Standards Act and corporate policies, including Covid-19 precautions

- Candidates must be available to work days, evenings, holidays, and alternate weekends.
- A minimum of one year's experience cooking in a retirement residence or hotel/ restaurant environment is required. Experience in food preparation and line cooking is required, and quantity food production is an asset.
- Food handlers certificate
- Comfortable lifting food and beverage to and from locations within our facilities
- Ability to commute to the Burlington/Oakville border of Burloak and Lakeshore Rd.
- Comfortable working with Seniors and elderly clients
