Lead People and Culture strategy at Yonge Street Mission in Toronto, applying advanced human resources expertise and operational leadership. Shape staff wellness, compliance, and organizational development.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Director provides primary human resources expertise across YSM’s People and Culture department. This senior leader oversees recruitment, total rewards, performance management, training, employee relations, safety, succession planning, and change management. The role delivers values-centered and DEI-principled solutions while supporting YSM’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and oversee annual People and Culture plans and budgets
- Improve policies, systems, programs, and talent processes
- Guide complex employee relations and organizational change matters




- Lead compensation, talent management, and learning strategies
- Coach and mentor the People and Culture team

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education and 10+ years of relevant experience
- CHRL or CHRE designation strongly preferred
- Advanced human resources knowledge across related disciplines
- Knowledge of Ontario employment and human rights legislation
- Commitment to YSM’s faith, mission, values, and DEI principles
