Verafin is an innovator in anti-financial crime management solutions, with a mission to create the world's most effective crime-fighting network. The primary responsibility of the cloud infrastructure operations team is to ensure our application is consistently available and performant for our customers. As a Cloud Administrator, you will achieve this by monitoring and maintaining the health of the supporting infrastructure, utilizing a number of different AWS services hosting the Verafin application and our internal development. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to manage other third-party services.

Role Responsibilities

- Building, automating and securing application configuration, auto deployment, and provisioning services
- Collaborating with internal development teams to support and maintain backend infrastructure
- Utilizing technology to automate solutions
- Researching and learning recent AWS services to support our infrastructure
- Measuring and monitoring the Verafin application and infrastructure health
- Monitoring our cloud environment for alerts and triaging them
- Measuring uptime of the Verafin application and back-end systems

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor of computer, software engineering, or computer science or equivalent diploma
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar position
- AWS certifications will be considered an asset
- Experience running systems using AWS
- Experience practicing infrastructure as code in AWS
- Experience with Linux systems, virtualization,



and network administration
- Knowledge of Java, Python and Bash would be an asset
- Experience utilizing any of the following: Linux Admin, Chef, Terraform, Splunk

- Understanding Verafin's cloud infrastructure and understanding the various AWS services that support it
- Successfully blending systems administration and development to architect solutions in AWS
- Automating processes to ensure efficiencies for customers and internal teams

- Pursue other opportunities within Verafin (admin, development and / or architect)
- Provide guidance and direction by mentoring new members of your team
