Mississauga Secondary Academy is now hiring motivated and enthusiastic Science tutors to start as soon as possible.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor of Education from an accredited university
- Extensive knowledge of the current OSSD grade 9-12 curriculum and Ministry of Education
- Ability to work with students from grades 9-12
- Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities

- Help grade 9 to 12 students reach academic goals in physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Math
- Keep records of grades, and grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Create lesson plans for students to help them improve their grades.




- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Develop incentives to keep participants in the class.
- Work with appointment coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
- Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers
- Tutor students on an individual basis.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
