Support client mobility, exercises, and daily living as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Toronto with VHA Home HealthCare. This full time position serves community clients. VHA Home HealthCare seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant to support prescribed exercise programs and activities of daily living training. You will assist with transfers, stairs, walking, positioning, motor activities, and balance. The work includes client and family education, documentation, reporting health changes, and participating in program planning, quality improvement, and evaluation.

Assist clients with prescribed exercises and activities of daily living training

Monitor health changes and report them to therapists

Document client records and collect required data

Ability to follow safe care policies and procedures

Ability to use required personal protective equipment

Ability to follow infection prevention and control measures

Apply mobility assistance, client education, documentation, and safety practices while supporting VHA Home HealthCare clients across Toronto.
