Cooper Bick Chen LLP is a licensed full-service public accounting firm based in Markham, Ontario. In addition to our audit, accounting and tax services, we also provide a wide range of advisory services to our corporate and individual clients. We support our clients through every step of their business cycle. Our clients are in many different industries.
We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to perform audit and review engagements and various other client service engagements. As a key member of the team, you will work directly with Partners to perform reviews and audit, complex compilation engagements, corporate tax returns and tax planning for businesses in diverse industries.
You will also have opportunities to advance and learn alongside accomplished business professionals with view towards succession.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in a related discipline with a Canadian CPA designation
· 5+ years' public accounting experience in a CPA firm, currently in a senior or supervisor audit position
· Advanced knowledge of ASPE, CAS and financial statement disclosure and Canadian Tax
. Ability to work independently on all types of engagements - compilations,
review and audit engagements.
· Strong working knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, Cantax (T1&T2;), FormMaster, MS Office
· Strong file management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasking and deliver in a deadline-driven environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicate effectively with clients, CRA and co-workers
. Ability to complete and document file work and to supervise and review the work of junior staff
Languages:
English is a must (Mandarin is an asset)
