Altasciences seeks an IT Technician II to support users with IT infrastructure and tools at its Laval site. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining IT Service Management systems while ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Resolve user technical issues via helpdesk system and provide phone/email support

Mentor and coach IT Technician I staff and escalate complex problems as needed

Configure, deploy, and maintain computers with appropriate software and operating systems

Troubleshoot hardware, software, user accounts, email, and network connectivity problems

Document incidents, track solutions, and identify recurring issues for process improvement

Requirements

College degree in IT-related program

Minimum 3 years of IT support or related experience

Fluent in French and English, written and verbal

CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification

Intermediate to advanced Windows 10/11, Cisco Phone, and mobile device knowledge

Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and Mobile Device Management

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
