This role will shape SharePoint Online as the backbone of our digital workplace and deliver solutions across Microsoft 365, from custom SPFx development, site architecture, and content migrations to Power Platform automation, governance, and end-user support and training.
Responsibilities include building and supporting solutions, following and helping shape platform standards, and working closely with business teams, Information Security, and Risk to make sure what we build is useful, secure, and compliant.
SharePoint Platform and Architecture
Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including their integration with Microsoft Teams, and act as a subject matter expert for collaboration services.
Build scalable hub, site, and library structures, including information architecture, content types, managed metadata, and taxonomy.
Develop and enhance the company intranet, departmental portals, knowledge bases, and document management solutions that help employees find and use information.
Deliver secure external collaboration spaces such as client portals, project workspaces, and data rooms.
Custom SharePoint Development
Work with business users, product owners, and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SharePoint Online solutions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), including web parts, extensions, and reusable components.
Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Fluent UI.
Configure sites, lists, libraries, content types, site columns, navigation, permissions, and search to support business solutions.
Package and deploy SPFx solutions through development, test, staging, and production environments.
Content Migration
Plan and execute migrations from file shares, on-premises SharePoint, SharePoint Subscription Edition, and other legacy platforms to SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
Conduct pre-migration assessments covering content inventory, file and path limits, unsupported file types, and permissions mapping.
Use tools such as Microsoft Migration Manager, the SharePoint Migration Tool, or ShareGate to move content in planned batches with minimal disruption.

Modernize classic sites and pages to the modern SharePoint experience.
Convert legacy SharePoint Designer workflows and InfoPath forms to modern Power Apps, custom SharePoint and Power Automate solutions.
Validate migrated content, permissions, and metadata, and resolve post-migration issues with business users.
Design, build, and support Power Apps and Power Automate cloud flows that streamline business processes, using SharePoint and Dataverse as data sources and AI Builder actions for tasks such as document processing, text extraction, and classification.
Apply application lifecycle management practices, including solutions, managed environments, pipelines, and source control, for consistent testing, deployment, and release.
Automate site provisioning and governance tasks using PnP PowerShell, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph.
Ensure solutions meet security, governance, data protection, records management, and accessibility requirements.
Review content and permissions in preparation for Microsoft 365 Copilot, so AI features surface the right information to the right people.
Quality, Testing, and Documentation
Plan and run unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, and document the results.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, permission problems, and integration failures in production.
Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions to keep them reliable, secure, and easy to use.
Create and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, deployment instructions, runbooks, and configuration guides.
Training and Adoption
Create user guides, quick reference materials, and short training videos for SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Power Platform solutions.
Demonstrate completed functionality to stakeholders and deliver training and onboarding sessions for end users, site owners, and citizen developers.
Monitor platform health, usage, storage, and performance, and support capacity planning and issue resolution.
Respond to and resolve assigned service desk tickets for SharePoint,

OneDrive, Teams, and Power Platform within agreed service levels, escalating when needed.
Track the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform roadmap and recommend how new features, including Copilot and Viva, can improve the employee experience.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.
~6+ years of overall experience in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform development, including building SharePoint hub sites, custom SharePoint solutions, configuring custom permission levels, and building production solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate.

Hands‑on experience developing custom SharePoint solutions, such as SPFx web parts and extensions, custom list forms, and integrations using the SharePoint REST API.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
Proven experience designing information architecture, governance models, and permissions for large SharePoint environments.
Hands‑on experience with at least one large content migration from file shares, on‑premises SharePoint, or another platform, using tools such as ShareGate.
