Backend Software Engineer, Optimization Systems

We use operations research to help organizations plan and manage their operations as they happen. Our systems run in production and are used daily by our clients.

We are looking for a backend developer with at least 5 years of experience. You will also work directly with clients and, over time, lead projects from start to finish.

Design, build and maintain backend services in Go, C++ and Python

Integrate optimization engines with client systems and real-time data

Meet with clients to understand their operations and turn their needs into technical requirements

Lead projects from scoping through deployment and follow-up

Improve the performance and reliability of systems in production

Experience with Go, C++ and/or Python

Interest in working closely with clients and taking the lead on projects

Fluent in French

A degree in mathematics or experiences in a quantitative field

The position is remote to start. Candidates must live in the Montreal area.
