Construction Labourers at Mattamy Homes prepare Ottawa sites for residential trades while working onsite five days weekly in a unionized role.

This full-time position supports the Ottawa Division Construction Department and reports to the Builder. You will help construct new homes safely, prepare lots for upcoming trades, manage debris, and address site issues. Organization, communication, customer service, and physical capability are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare houses for following trades using required construction tasks

Collect debris and follow designated waste recycling programs

Prepare porches, garages, basements, driveways, and patio slabs

Grade houses and prepare footings and walls for inspection

Maintain water boxes,



temporary heat, safety, and homeowner inquiries

Requirements:

No formal education required; construction training is an asset

Organizational skills to complete work according to timelines

Valuable verbal communication and customer service skills

Ability to perform physically challenging work

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Support Mattamy Homes construction sites through safe preparation, site organization, trade coordination, and responsive homeowner service.
