We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer - Front End to lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of accessible, responsive, and user-facing capabilities for enterprise web applications. In this role, you will translate approved wireframes, user stories, and design specifications into reusable, component-based front-end applications. Utilizing up-to-date JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks, you will integrate user interfaces with RESTful APIs, identity services, and security gateways, while ensuring strict adherence to web accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG), secure coding practices, and Agile delivery workflows.

Duration: 11-month contract

Modern Front-End Stack: Hands‑on development using TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks, and component‑based architectures.

Agile & CI/CD Tooling: Work within structured Agile teams utilizing Azure DevOps for source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Dedicated Onsite Collaboration: Collaborate directly alongside UX designers, backend leads, and architects in a focused Toronto workspace.

Front‑End & UI Component Engineering: Translate technical specifications, wireframes, and prototypes into responsive, accessible, and maintainable front‑end components using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.

Integrate client‑side interfaces with backend RESTful APIs, RESTful web services, identity services, and security gateways employing OAuth 2.0, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and SSL certificates.

Build component‑based user interfaces compliant with AODA and WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring consistent user experiences across multi‑client platforms.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Create, execute, and maintain automated unit, component,



integration, and accessibility tests to ensure software reliability and performance.

Agile Collaboration & DevOps: Participate actively in sprint planning, code reviews, design walkthroughs, and backlog refinement using Azure DevOps for source control, work item tracking, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Diagnose and resolve complex browser compatibility, performance, security, and integration issues, providing ongoing post‑implementation support.

Technical Documentation: Author detailed programming specifications, user‑interface documentation, build guides, and deployment records.

Large-Scale Web Development: Extensive experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client, Internet-ready web applications (Strictly Required).

JavaScript & TypeScript Frameworks: Strong hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks and responsive, component-based application development (Strictly Required).

Agile & Azure DevOps: Proven experience with Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, unit testing frameworks, source control, and technical documentation (Strictly Required).

Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs, RESTful web services, security gateways, OAuth 2.0, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and SSL certificates (Strictly Required).

Database & Query Experience:



Familiarity using relational or hierarchical databases and query languages to retrieve and present application data (Strictly Required).

Nice-to-Have Assets

Prior software development experience within a public sector or enterprise environment.

Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards, including AODA and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.

Experience with automated testing tools for component, integration, and end-to-end testing.
