Support histology testing onsite in Brampton through accurate specimen processing, data entry, and quality control during an overnight shift. Dynacare offers a contract full time assignment.

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will process specimens and enter requisitions or results accurately and promptly. The work includes documentation verification, reference testing preparation, and equipment maintenance. You will follow infectious material guidelines while supporting downstream treatment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, sort, label, separate, and route laboratory specimens
- Enter patient and test information accurately and promptly
- Verify documentation and file related paperwork
- Prepare specimens and shipping for reference testing




- Perform routine pre-analytical equipment maintenance

Requirements:

- Laboratory Assistant Program or one year equivalent experience
- Robust specimen processing knowledge
- Minimum data entry speed of 40 words per minute
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- MLA Certification preferred; histology experience is beneficial
