Operate landfill machinery for the City of Brandon using excavator, dozer, loader, and compactor experience. This is a permanent full-time position.

As an Equipment Operator Level 3, you will support safe, efficient operations at the City’s Landfill and Material Recovery Facility. The work includes equipment operation, servicing, manual tasks, and following site drawings, stakes, and directions. You may supervise general labourers and other equipment operators.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks, and compactors
- Complete inspections, cleaning, lubrication, fuelling, and minor repairs
- Follow site drawings, reference stakes, and operating directions
- Maintain secure work practices and required City regulations




- Perform manual tasks across landfill, MRF, and compost operations

Requirements:

- Grade 12, GED, CAEC, or Mature High School Diploma
- Valid Manitoba Class 3 licence with Air Endorsement
- Current driver’s abstract and two years’ equipment experience
- Obtain required TDG, LOB, WHMIS, and forklift certifications
- Availability for rotating weekends, evenings, overtime, and call outs
