Lead corporate IT Infrastructure and Microsoft SQL Server operations onsite in Sault Ste. Marie while advancing Algoma Steel’s technology setting.

As Systems Architect, you will guide infrastructure leadership, administration, reliability, and governance for Algoma Steel. The work covers servers, SAN, VMware virtualization, databases, backup and recovery, and network interfaces. You will also develop data science and machine learning models for decision-making, predictive maintenance, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead corporate IT Infrastructure use, policies, practices, and procedures
- Coordinate infrastructure projects and cross-functional implementation processes
- Maintain configuration drawings, asset information, and infrastructure administration procedures
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server platforms, security,



performance, and recovery
- Develop analytics models, data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools

Requirements:

- Minimum three-year College Diploma in a related field
- At least 15 years’ corporate IT Infrastructure experience
- Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including high availability solutions
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and SAN administration experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
