or similar mechanical equipment is an asset.Welding Skills:Demonstrated experience completing minor welding repairs and fabrication.Safety Commitment:Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Problem Solving:Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Preventive Maintenance:Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on bins, compaction systems, and baler equipment.Repair & Diagnostics:Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues related to truck bins and plant equipment.Operational Readiness:Assist in maintaining operational readiness and uptime of recycling and waste handling machinery.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain and update service records, inspection logs, and equipment history; complete daily reporting and tracking of all maintenance and repairs.Planning & Coordination:Work collaboratively with operations and fleet teams to coordinate downtime and maintenance schedules.Parts Procurement:Identify parts and materials required for repairs and liaise with procurement for sourcing.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all work is completed in strict compliance with GFL's safety standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines.Additional Duties:Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.#GFLTalent
