Script Developer (10+ years) to design and build scalable applications using Type

Script, distributed architectures, and API design Join a software development team delivering scalable front-end and back-end applications within the financial services sector.

This role focuses on Type

Script development, architectural decision-making, distributed systems, API design, and mentoring developers across complex engineering initiatives.

The position offers hands-on involvement in scalable application development, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Permanent, Toronto, Working Hours: EST Hybrid: 4 times a week on site (near Union Station) Must Haves 10+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of extensive Type

Script experience in production environments.

Robust understanding of Java

Script fundamentals, ES6+, and asynchronous programming.

Experience with Node.js and back-end Type

Script development.

Extensive experience designing and building distributed architectures and microservices.

Expert-level knowledge of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and/or GraphQL.

Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL , including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Strong knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar).

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.





Nice to Have Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) and module bundlers.

Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev

Ops practices.

Understanding of microservices architecture.

Experience with monorepo management tools (Nx, Turborepo, Lerna).

Contributions to open-source Type

Script projects.

Experience with type-driven development and advanced Type

Script features.

Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture principles.

Experience leading technical initiatives or projects.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust Type

Script applications across front-end and back-end systems.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and design patterns.

Architect scalable solutions and make technical decisions that align with business objectives.

Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering their technical growth.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Optimize application performance and identify bottlenecks.

Stay current with Type

Script ecosystem developments and recommend new technologies or approaches.

Contribute to technical documentation and coding standards.

Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
