Job Summary: The Senior Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable enterprise platform capabilities across multiple layers including user-interface, service, API, workflow, integration, and data access.

This role involves building reusable platform services to support various government programs and implementing service-specific connections for registries, permitting, payments, identity, and other business functions.

The developer provides technical leadership and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain frontend, backend, APIs, integration, middleware, and data-access components.

Build and support Java-based microservices, RESTful APIs, and reusable platform services.

Develop and optimize database objects, queries, and data transformation routines.

Implement and maintain security protocols including identity and access management.

Create and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, API, and UI levels.

Participate in design walkthroughs, code reviews, impact assessments, and sprint planning.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development, deployment, and production support.

Collaborate with architects, product managers, UX designers, QA, Dev

Ops, and security teams.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical, user, and support documentation.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Required Skills: 10+ years experience designing and developing large-scale multi-client web applications.

Extensive hands-on Java development experience with Oracle, SQL, or comparable relational databases.

Strong expertise in designing and developing REST APIs and RESTful web services.

Experience with microservice architecture and applying core architectural principles.





Proficiency with security gateways and protocols such as JSON Web Tokens, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates.

Experience with relational and hierarchical databases, query languages, SQL tuning, and data-access components.

Familiarity with middleware, gateways, communication protocols, and enterprise integration.

Experience using Azure Dev

Ops or similar tools for source control, build, testing, and deployment pipelines.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of Ontario Public Service development standards, governance, security, and accessibility.

Experience in Agile and rapid application development methodologies.

Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership in a team workplace.

Prior experience with public sector or government software development projects.
