This Opportunity:

We are currently looking to fill 2 Part-Time PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide positions in Niagara Falls.

Wage: $20.11 per hour, with paid travel time and mileage. This position is eligible for the temporary $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.

Hours: up to 30 hours per week

Schedule: Work multiple shifts (i.e. workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that may vary between locations.

Responsibilities:

- Assists consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures, including:

- Personal care

- Dressing and grooming

- Rising and retiring

- Incontinence care (upon training)

- Meal preparation and feeding

- Range of motion exercises

- Light housekeeping duties

- Lifts and transfers (upon training)





- Performs duties in a professional manner that respects the dignity and right to privacy of consumers and maintains the health and safety of consumers and staff.

- Works multiple shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at various locations throughout the Niagara Region.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain

- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver is considered an asset but is not required

- Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire

- Ability to work adaptable and regularly scheduled hours

- Valid driver's licence, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle required
