Job Description
We are seeking a Manager, Finance to join a highly collaborative FP&A; organization supporting divisional financial performance, capital investment, and Technology initiatives.

At its core, this is an FP&A; leadership role with a strong business-partnership component.

The Manager will be responsible for planning, forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and decision support, while also helping the business determine how capital should be allocated across competing priorities.
A significant portion of the capital portfolio is connected to Technology, so this individual will work closely with Technology leaders and other non-finance stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be someone who can go beyond producing financial results and use those insights to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and drive action.

The role will also lead and develop a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities
FP&A; Leadership
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for the assigned portfolio.
• Provide visibility into financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct variance and root-cause analysis and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support investment and business decisions.
• Support longer-range and strategic planning activities.

Strategic Business Partnership
• Act as a strategic finance partner to senior business and Technology leaders.
• Build a strong understanding of business priorities and connect financial performance to operational and strategic decisions.
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
• Challenge assumptions appropriately and help stakeholders evaluate alternatives and trade-offs.
• Take ownership beyond identifying an issue by working with stakeholders to develop and influence the path forward.

Capital Planning & Investment Management
• Support divisional capital planning, forecasting, allocation,



and investment tracking.
• Partner with Strategy and business leaders to prioritize investments and determine where capital should be deployed.
• Identify opportunities to reallocate or redirect investment dollars based on business priorities and portfolio performance.
• Help hold stakeholders accountable to financial commitments and expected outcomes.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through a financial, strategic, and operational lens.
• Maintain visibility into approved, committed, forecasted, and actual capital expenditures.

Technology Finance
• Provide financial support across a portfolio that includes significant Technology investment.
• Partner closely with Technology leaders to understand project costs, priorities, resource requirements, and financial implications.
• Monitor Technology spending against budgets, forecasts, and investment commitments.
• Connect Technology initiatives back to broader financial and business objectives.
• Help non-finance partners understand financial implications while developing a strong understanding of their operational and Technology workplace.

People Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of finance professionals.
• Establish clear accountability and expectations for team deliverables.
• Strengthen the team's capabilities across FP&A;, financial modelling, business partnership, and capital analysis.
• Create an environment focused on development, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements
• Progressive experience within FP&A;, corporate finance, commercial finance, or a similar business-facing finance function.




• Strong hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Demonstrated experience operating as a strategic business partner, rather than solely producing or reporting financial results.
• Ability to take financial insights and use them to influence decisions and drive action with business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain finance concepts to non-finance audiences.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• People leadership or demonstrated experience coaching/developing finance professionals.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience providing finance support to Technology organizations or Technology investments.
• Capital planning, capital allocation, or investment-management experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation or other investment-intensive portfolios.
• Business-case development and scenario-analysis experience.
• CPA or equivalent accounting designation.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree.
