NOTE: THIS IS A BI-WEEKLY ROTATION ON CONTINENTAL SHIFTS --> DAYS & NIGHTS

APPLICANT MUST COMMIT TO WORK ROTATIONAL SHIFTS

Position: General labour

Industry: Corrugated printing industry

This client runs a continental shift all year long - 12 hours long

7 AM-7 PM for two weeks then 7 PM-7 AM for two weeks - keeps going

continuous heavy lifting all shift - up to 50lbs

1-hour pay bonus for completing the 12-hour shift

Hourly start rate: $22.88

Responsibilities

- Place the pallet onto the floor with a tear sheet on the pallet.
- Remove carton stacks from the conveyor and stack them as neatly as possible onto pallets.
- Ensure the stack does not go beyond standard height then remove the skid and start a new one.
- Remove all sub-standard cartons, check for printing/cutting problems, and notify the operator/printer if such are found.
- Remove internal scrap off the cartons as needed.
- Place a tear sheet between each layer of stacked cartons.
- Ensure that each pallet has a load tag and flash carton.
- Lifting from 20 lbs to 50lbs continuously
- Rotating all shifts
- Repetitive movements
- OT is optional
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- 3+ years of working in a manufacturing or general labour environment is required
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs continuously
- MUST be willing to work in the rotational shifts
- MUST have access to reliable transport (facility is on the GO/Durham Transit Line)
