**Job Title: Production Cleaner**
**Job Description**
The Production Cleaner maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation for food manufacturing equipment and production areas.

This role focuses on preparing a new milling and grain facility for safe, efficient operation by performing thorough industrial sanitation tasks both indoors and outdoors.
**Responsibilities**
Clean and sanitize food manufacturing equipment in accordance with industrial sanitation practices and facility guidelines.

Perform sweeping and mopping duties across production floors, walkways, and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from equipment, surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas.

Carry out general labor tasks associated with production cleaning, including moving equipment or materials as needed to access areas for sanitation.

Follow established sanitation procedures and standards specific to food production environments.

Support pre-opening cleaning activities to prepare the milling and grain facility for full operation.

Work safely in dusty conditions and outdoor areas, using appropriate methods to minimize dust and maintain cleanliness.

Adhere to all workplace safety rules and report any hazards or issues related to cleanliness or equipment.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure cleaning activities do not disrupt operations and align with production schedules.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience in cleaning and sanitation within an industrial or production environment.

Industrial sanitation experience, particularly in food production or similar settings.

Hands-on experience with general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing facility.

Ability to perform detailed cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and dust removal using compressed air.

Comfort working in dusty environments and outdoors as part of regular job duties.

Understanding of basic safety practices related to cleaning, sanitation, and equipment use in a food manufacturing context.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Prior experience in food production sanitation is highly beneficial.

Experience in general labour roles within manufacturing or milling facilities is an asset.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established cleaning protocols.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Reliability in working scheduled shifts and completing assigned tasks on time.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a current milling and grain facility that will become fully operational in 34 months.

Before opening, extensive cleaning and sanitation work is required throughout the existing facility.

The environment can be dusty, and some tasks are performed outdoors, so comfort working in these conditions is important.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., providing a consistent afternoon and evening shift.

Work involves industrial food manufacturing equipment and the use of tools such as compressed air for dust removal, along with typical cleaning supplies for sweeping and mopping.

This is a Contract position based out of Brantford, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
