This Pharmacy Assistant supports dispensing functions, pharmacy services, and daily pharmacy operations. You will greet customers, receive prescription orders, process refills, and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. The work follows Pharmacy Standards of Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather prescription information and set realistic wait-time expectations
- Process new prescriptions, refills, and third-party billing
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications




- Maintain dispensary cash registers and process prescription purchases
- File documentation and manage incoming pharmacy faxes

Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Robust organizational and multitasking skills
- Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
