Civil Engineering Technician – Permanent Full time RDQ Engineering Inc. Mississauga, ON

RDQ ENGINEERING INC. is seeking one dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position starting as soon as possible.

Position Details:

- Salary: $37.60/hour
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

- Language: English
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify building dimensions, structural elements, and material requirements.
- Assist engineers in preparing structural details, engineering specifications, and drawings for building projects.
- Participate in site visits, building inspections,



and technical investigations to document existing conditions and identify structural or building performance issues.
- Prepare construction specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost and material estimates for repair, rehabilitation, and construction work.
- Assist in preparing engineering designs, calculations, and drawings for building repairs, renovations, and structural improvements, under the direction of a professional engineer.
- Prepare and update project schedules and coordinate project documentation with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with or conduct site inspections, field measurements, technical investigations, and testing or sampling of construction materials; record findings and report them to the responsible engineer.
