Use small engine, electrical, and hydraulic expertise as a Small Engine Mechanic supporting turf and compact equipment at Huron Tractor. Southern Ontario locations serve diverse customers.
Reporting to the Service Manager, this mechanic diagnoses and repairs used and current turf and compact construction equipment. The work includes inspections, scheduled maintenance, mechanical repairs, customer advice, and service reporting. Huron Tractor is one of John Deere's largest partners in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions
- Repair, replace, test, and adjust mechanical units
- Perform scheduled maintenance services on assigned equipment
- Advise customers about completed work and future repairs
- Complete reports documenting problems and work performed
Requirements:
- Small engine license, 435A
- Two to four years of licensed equipment experience
- Strong electrical and hydraulic system knowledge
- Computer literacy with diagnostic programs and computers
- Valid driver's license and safety policy adherence
