As Lead Analyst, you will provide live coverage within samdesk’s Asia-Pacific Real-Time Coverage team. You will evaluate breaking incidents, corroborate information, and curate timely alerts for customers. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Asia-Pacific, you will mentor analysts and help shape team direction.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate incidents and prioritize impact using judgement and playbooks
Gather, corroborate, and curate real-time crisis information
Manage at least two analysts through coaching and feedback
Ensure alerts and information remain timely, relevant, and accurate
Support rostering,



scheduling, leave approvals, and team operations
Requirements: Based in Australia and available for fully work from home
Interest in breaking news, current affairs, and geopolitical issues
Understanding of social media newsgathering and fact-finding
Confidence working independently within a globally distributed team
Relevant degree in political science, international relations, journalism, or similar
Bring crisis judgment, social media research, and people leadership to samdesk’s APAC real-time coverage operation.
