Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, the Finance Supervisor is responsible to supervise, guide/train and assist a team of Finance/Payroll Clerks in the daily operations of the Finance/Payroll Unit. You will be familiar working in a finance environment. You will provide backup to the other Finance Supervisor. You should be able to work in a high energy office environment.

Experience working in Finance/Payroll and/or post-secondary education in Business/Accounting
Supervisory experience
Advance knowledge in Excel
Worked on computerized accounting system
Very good organizational and administrative skills
Comfortable working with all levels of people in the organization/outside contacts
Must be responsible and have the ability to encourage people and improve system and manual work flow processes
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities
Good analytical and problem solving abilities
Ability to speak in Ojibway and/or Cree is an asset.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
This position will not need to travel on a daily basis but must be willing and able to travel when requested.
Must be able to provide a current criminal records check prior to employment.
Must be aware of the cultural setting in which Tikinagan Child and Family Services operates.
