Design backend payments systems with Python, cloud services, and service-oriented architecture while shaping financial transaction flows. This position is based in Canada.
As a software engineer with at least five years of experience, you will build, deploy, scale, and maintain production services. Your work covers core banking, ACH, wire, card, and digital asset processing. You will also develop APIs, use databases, and create tested code.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain backend financial and payment system flows
Influence Platform architecture and payment system design decisions
Develop, test, and launch Platform features and releases
Document processes, systems, and key data flows
Support regulatory compliance and audit certification efforts
Requirements: At least five years designing up-to-date cloud-based production services
Experience with service-oriented architecture and backend payment systems
Proficiency with Python or other stated programming languages
Experience building APIs and using Postgres or DynamoDB
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
