About the Role Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is a dynamic organization seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a critical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA , or across the country. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the ERP project, from vendor selection and system design through to configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), project management methodologies, and change management principles. You will lead a dedicated project team comprising functional consultants, technical experts, and business stakeholders, ensuring the successful deployment of a unified ERP solution that enhances operational efficiency and data visibility across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the ERP implementation project, from initiation to post-go-live support.
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
Oversee the selection and implementation of an ERP system, ensuring it meets business requirements and strategic objectives.
Manage and mentor the project team, including functional consultants, technical resources, and business users, in a remote setting.
Facilitate requirements gathering, business process re-engineering, system configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).




Manage data migration strategies and execution from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.
Drive change management initiatives to ensure user adoption and minimize resistance to new processes and systems.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular, detailed status reports to executive leadership.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective resolution plans.
Requirements A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years dedicated to leading large-scale ERP implementation projects.
In-depth knowledge of at least one major ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and its modules.
Proven experience managing projects in a fully remote setting.
Strong understanding of business processes across finance, HR, supply chain, and operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and ERP implementation methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
PMP certification is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets exceeding R5 million.
Strong change management and training experience.
Ability to work independently and lead dispersed teams effectively.
