Job Description Summary:GRF, Focus Partners Business Management, is seeking a motivated co-op student to join our Burlington team (previously Danyliw & Mann) as an Accounting & Business Management Co-Op. Danyliw & Mann is now part of GRF and the broader Focus organization.This is an opportunity to gain hands-on accounting and business management experience supporting clients across the entertainment industry, including musicians, songwriters, producers, and other creative professionals.At GRF, you'll have the opportunity to build practical accounting and tax experience while working in a dynamic and unique industry. You'll learn alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to the business behind the entertainment industry, and contribute to meaningful client work from day one.This position is based in our Burlington, Ontario office and will work on-site five days per week.Job Description:Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounting for live domestic and international touring, recording and publishing royalties, and other aspects of client businessAssist with the preparation of leadsheets, financial statements, Canadian corporate and personal tax returns, supporting schedules, working papers, and other tax compliance mattersAssist with the preparation of Canadian and U.S. tax slipsReconcile bank, investment, and credit card accounts and match supporting receiptsProcess and enter credit card statementsPrepare spreadsheets and financial analyses for various business needsScan, organize, and maintain client records and filesPrepare correspondence and assist with other administrative and accounting needs as assignedQualificationsCurrently enrolled in a business, accounting, finance,



or related co-op programAble to work in office five days per week in GRF's Burlington officeBasic knowledge of accounting principlesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain client confidentialityOrganized, reliable, and able to manage multiple prioritiesCurious, personable, and comfortable asking questions in a collaborative environmentKnowledge of QuickBooks and Intuit Profile is an assetAbility to complete required assessments as part of the application processThis position is a non-exempt position. The base pay for this role is expected to be CAD $21/hr - CAD $22.5/hr. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.
