This General Surgeon position serves southwestern Manitoba through a 300-plus-bed, fully accredited, multi-specialty facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing disorders, supervising surgery, treating injuries, and consulting physicians. The role supports patient and family centered care within an interdisciplinary team and high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
Supervise surgical procedures
Treat diseases, injuries, and deformities
Prescribe postoperative medication and treatment
Consult with other physicians
Requirements: Doctor of Medicine degree
Royal College fellowship
Manitoba full licensure or eligibility
CMPA coverage or equivalent malpractice insurance
Respect for culturally diverse populations
Practice general surgery, diagnosis, and consultation onsite while supporting high-quality care at Brandon Regional Health Centre.
