Working within professional scope, you will collect samples, perform diagnostic testing, interpret results, and prepare reports. The position supports quality patient care through clinical knowledge, planning, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Collect patient samples using all applicable methods
Perform diagnostic tests on patient specimens
Analyze and interpret results for clinical reports
Support quality improvement and risk management initiatives
Participate in hospital activities and user groups
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or College Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology
Current registration with the CMLTO
Eligibility across five stated laboratory practice fields
CAMLPR certification and phlebotomy skills
Experience with analyzers, microscopes, and Point of Care Testing
Use laboratory testing, clinical judgment, and patient-focused practice to support Brightshores diagnostic services in Owen Sound.
