Deliver operating room patient care through assessment, intervention, and advocacy as a Registered Practical Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
This Registered Practical Nurse provides primary care for Operating Room patients while supporting Patient-Focused Care principles. The position involves education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and applying person-centred care knowledge. Current or recent Operating Room experience is required.
Key Responsibilities: Provide primary care for Operating Room patients
Assess patients and deliver appropriate interventions
Educate patients throughout their care
Advocate for patients and their needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
Requirements: Current Ontario registration with the College of Nurses
Current B.C.L.S. certificate
Completed post-graduate Operating Room certificate
Current or recent Operating Room experience
Physical assessment course and aseptic technique knowledge
