Apply aeroelastic simulations and finite element modeling at Bombardier, with flexible and hybrid work policies when applicable. Support aircraft design and certification.
This senior engineering position works within Bombardier Aerospace’s Loads and Dynamics group. You will analyze aircraft dynamics using MSC Nastran, frequency-based data, and aeroelastic FEM. The work supports recent aircraft studies, continued airworthiness, testing, and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations for aircraft design studies
Develop and maintain finite element models for analysis
Research computational aeroelasticity and support ground and flight testing
Integrate activities with aerodynamics, structures, and flight controls groups
Conduct testing and write certification support reports
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
At least nine years of aerospace dynamics analysis experience
Previous experience using MSC Nastran for dynamic aeroelastic analysis
Understanding of aeroelastic FEM, structures, weight, and inertia
Knowledge of C/C++, Matlab, Python, Windows, and Linux or Unix
Bring senior aerospace dynamics expertise, analytical thinking, and aeroelastic modeling skills to Bombardier’s aircraft engineering team.
