The work emphasizes Generative AI, machine learning, document intelligence, and practical production engineering. You will guide technical direction while balancing accuracy, reliability, scalability, performance, and cost.
Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end AI system design and implementation
Evaluate LLM APIs, AI services, and open-source models
Establish standards for RAG, retrieval, and monitoring
Mentor engineers across AI, data, and software platforms
Build AI services within AWS microservices environments
Requirements: Seven-plus years of software engineering experience
Five-plus years deploying AI/ML systems in production
Advanced Node.js and TypeScript backend proficiency
Hands-on LLM, Generative AI, and RAG experience
Solid AWS, Docker, microservices, and deployment experience
Apply production AI leadership, Node.js expertise, and architectural judgment to shape adoption across Toronto software platforms.
