Insight Global seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading custom automation and capital equipment manufacturer. You will guide mechanical design execution, technical decisions, risk management, and customer engagement. The position also includes mentoring engineers and coordinating with project managers, applications engineers, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities: Drive automation projects from concept through commissioning
Lead mechanical design execution and technical decision-making
Perform calculations, validation, risk assessments,
and technical reviews
Plan and execute FAT/SAT acceptance activities
Mentor engineers and manage vendor collaboration
Requirements: Eight-plus years of mechanical engineering experience
Custom automation, capital equipment, machinery, or industrial manufacturing experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM systems, and TotalETC
Experience with DFMA and manufacturing processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Apply mechanical design leadership, automation expertise, and FAT/SAT experience to complex equipment projects through commissioning.
