Perform genetics laboratory procedures at UHN across all shifts, applying cytogenetics or molecular genetics expertise in a permanent full time position.
The Medical Laboratory Technologist supports UHN’s Laboratory Medicine Program, Canada’s largest hospital diagnostic lab. You will complete assigned workload, maintain equipment, document test results, and support quality programs. The position serves all UHN sites and reports to the Senior Manager, Advanced Diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory procedures across assigned disciplines and functions
Complete assigned workload accurately and efficiently
Operate, troubleshoot, and clean laboratory equipment
Prepare written and electronic procedure and test reports
Participate in teaching, safety,



and quality improvement programs
Requirements: Recognized MLT Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetics program completion
Current CMLTO registration with required specialization
Clinical Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetics experience preferred
Knowledge of laboratory procedures, instruments, equipment, and techniques
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
Apply genetics laboratory expertise, equipment knowledge, and accurate reporting skills within UHN’s Laboratory Medicine Program across all sites.
