As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will learn from Carpenters and other site staff while developing practical construction abilities. The work includes understanding general construction processes, reading specifications and drawings, completing layouts, and using a builder’s level. Safety, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail are central expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work safely under CANA policies, codes, and the Act
- Learn from Carpenters and other staff on site
- Ask questions when uncertain about assigned work
- Learn hand and power tool use
- Maintain a protected, clean work area

Requirements:

- Registered Carpentry Apprentice in Alberta
- Valid driver’s license or transportation to project sites
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of general math
- Good physical condition for demanding outdoor work
