As a Principal, you will source opportunities, lead complex diligence, and oversee investment and portfolio management. The $300M fund invests in late seed to Series B companies with scalable potential. You will represent BDC Capital, support Partners, and coach investment professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Source and assess high-potential venture companies
Lead complex market and financial due diligence
Prepare Investment Memos for committee presentations
Manage portfolio relationships and board participation
Coach Analysts, Associates,



and Associate Principals
Requirements: Seven to ten years of structured, analytical experience
Experience in venture capital, private equity, banking, or advisory
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, or STEM
Robust Excel financial modeling and data analysis skills
Understanding of sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management
Bring investment judgment, structured thinking, and portfolio expertise to BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund and Canadian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
