As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will support Scaling Efficiency within CloudTune. You will create automation, data infrastructure, and platform services for capacity decisions across EC2-based services. The work includes workflow orchestration, platform reliability, and translating ambiguous business problems into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and operate distributed systems end to end
Lead technical strategy and architecture for your area
Build reusable, composable services that reduce duplication
Drive monitoring, alarming, incident response, and on-call ownership




Partner with scientists, engineers, and capacity managers
Requirements: Five-plus years of qualified software development experience
Five-plus years programming with at least one language
Five-plus years leading system design or architecture
Experience mentoring, leading technically, or leading engineering teams
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
Bring distributed systems, architecture, and operational excellence experience to CloudTune's capacity-focused engineering work in Toronto.
