Lead aquatic instruction and protect patron safety as a part time Lifeguard Instructor III, using lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid expertise.
Reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor, this position delivers leadership and specialized programs. It ensures aquatic programs meet Aquatic Centre and Lifesaving Society standards. Duties include supervising swimming, change areas, and related recreational spaces while supporting facility operations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide instruction in leadership and specialized aquatic programs
Ensure aquatic program delivery meets required standards
Supervise patrons in swimming and change areas
Perform janitorial and minor maintenance tasks
Apply pool equipment operating procedures
Requirements: Grade 12 Diploma or GED
National Lifeguard Award – Pool
Standard First Aid with CPR “C”
Lifesaving Instructor, Aquafit, and Swim for Life Instructor certifications
Knowledge of pool chemistry and filtration
Bring aquatic instruction, patron supervision, and water safety knowledge to Lifeguard Instructor III duties at the Aquatic Centre.
