This temporary full-time Co-op placement supports the Vitkin Lab, Department of Medical Biophysics, and University Health Network. You will contribute to in vivo studies using preclinical mouse models, investigating tumour and normal tissue microvasculature. The work includes imaging, scientific analysis, experimental planning, and research communication.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with in vivo FLASH irradiation experiment design and execution
Prepare, handle, and monitor animals under approved protocols
Acquire tumour and vascular images using OCT and MRI
Process and quantify imaging data with MATLAB or Python
Document experiments and present progress during group meetings
Requirements: University studies in biomedical engineering, physics, or related programs
Research laboratory experience preferred
Robust written, oral, and scientific communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and critical-thinking approach
