The Near North District School Board seeks a permanent Educational Assistant effective immediately. This position supports alternative programming, therapy goals, sensory breaks, communication needs, toileting, and outings. Collaboration with teachers, behavioural specialists, and therapists is central to the work.
Key Responsibilities: Support students with autism and behavioural exceptionalities
Assist students with physical and developmental disabilities
Deliver alternative program and therapy goals
Provide sensory breaks, toileting, and communication support




Participate in outings and school-based teamwork
Requirements: Two-year post-secondary social services certificate or diploma
Experience supporting varied student exceptionalities
Knowledge of ABA, Behaviour Management Systems, and CPS
Understanding of augmentative communication and transition support
Knowledge and respect for Indigenous teachings and culture
Bring special education support, team-oriented practice, and student-focused strategies to Land of Lakes Public School as an Educational Assistant.
