As a Respiratory Therapy Assistant - Student, you will assist the Respiratory Therapist in a non-clinical fashion. Work occurs under general supervision within Respiratory Services - SBH. The position supports patients while requiring communication, organization, and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Respiratory Therapist with non-clinical respiratory care
Support patient care activities at St. Boniface Hospital
Work under the Registered Respiratory Therapist’s direction
Complete department-provided on-the-job training
Handle respiratory therapy equipment as required
Requirements: Manitoba High School Diploma or equivalent
Enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education program
Current second- or third-year student in valuable standing
Basic computer and keyboarding skills
Ability to lift equipment up to 45 pounds
Bring interpersonal, organizational, and respiratory therapy skills to this student assistant position supporting care at St. Boniface Hospital.
