The Registered Nurse enhances nursing practice according to governing body expectations, internal policies, and standards of care. This part time position supports resident assessment, care planning, staff oversight, and daily clinical direction. Previous community or long term care experience is required.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure resident care follows nursing standards and physicians’ orders
Assist with assessments, monitoring, and care plan evaluations
Manage nursing and personal care staff assignments
Conduct orientations and supervisory duties for assigned staff




Provide nursing department direction when needed
Requirements: Current provincial certificate of competence from an approved institution
Registration or eligibility with the approved provincial skilled institution
Previous community or long term care experience
Ability to prioritize urgent tasks independently and collaboratively
Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills
Bring registered nursing expertise, care planning, supervision, and communication skills to Extendicare’s resident care services.
