As a Senior Substation Engineer, you will deliver detailed designs for brownfield and greenfield projects. Your work spans concept through commissioning within multidisciplinary teams. Apply IEEE and ANSI standards while addressing complex power system challenges for utilities, renewable energy, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities: Design medium- and high-voltage utility substations
Develop layouts, diagrams, routing plans, and equipment details
Perform lightning protection and station service calculations
Prepare protection philosophies, schematics, and panel layouts
Support procurement,



construction, testing, and commissioning
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Skilled Engineer designation or Canadian registration eligibility
At least 10 to 15 years of substation design experience
Knowledge of transmission and distribution protection philosophies
Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites
Bring senior substation design, protection, calculation, and client communication expertise to WSP's Canadian energy projects.
