St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for its SHF Medical Unit. You will support non-acute patients with easy to complex medical issues while they prepare for transitions. Collaboration with Registered Nurses supports safe, effective care for less complex clients.
Key Responsibilities: Provide supportive, preventive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitation nursing care
Assess client needs and promote optimal function
Recognize changes in acuity or complexity
Consult Registered Nurses when determining next care steps




Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families
Requirements: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Practical Nursing diploma or certificate with required medication education
Current BCLS/HCP certification
Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and focused clinical assessment preferred
Knowledge and sensitivity in caring for seniors and families
Bring nursing assessment, rehabilitation care, and collaborative practice to patients at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Satellite Health Facility.
