Process high-volume payroll accurately for the Calgary Board of Education, using payroll systems and detailed reconciliation skills. This temporary Calgary position supports 25,000-plus pays monthly.
As a Payroll Administrator 1, you will contribute to approved payroll processing cycles and associated advantages. The work requires payroll compliance knowledge, Canadian Payroll Association certification, and familiarity with automated systems, preferably PeopleSoft. You will help maintain accurate, timely payroll aligned with legislation, collective agreements, and employment terms.
Key Responsibilities: Process daily payroll workflows and meet key cycle target dates
Prepare Records of Employment for employees experiencing service breaks
Calculate retroactive payments, increases, accruals, earnings,



and deductions
Verify entries, reconcile data, and resolve discrepancies
Research payroll questions and communicate with HR Services
Requirements: Minimum one year of payroll experience
Canadian Payroll Association certification successfully completed
One year of related post-secondary education
Knowledge of payroll rules and legislation
Familiarity with automated payroll systems, preferably PeopleSoft
Apply payroll compliance, reconciliation, and processing expertise to support accurate CBE payroll services in Calgary.
