Operate CNC laser equipment during Melitron’s afternoon shift in Guelph, using machine setup, troubleshooting, and precision measurement skills. Work Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am.
This CNC Punching Machine Operator position focuses on setting up turret punches and laser machines. You will load sheet steel with a forklift, maintain tooling, and follow production priorities. The work requires quality inspections, SAP MRP data collection, and adherence to operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Set up CNC turret punches and laser machines
Load sheet steel skids using a forklift
Operate equipment under quality assurance procedures
Complete maintenance and safety device inspections
Record work order completions through SAP MRP terminals
Requirements: Five or more years operating and troubleshooting CNC laser equipment
Amada CNC punching setup and operations experience preferred
Knowledge and experience reading blueprints
Comfort using calipers, height gauges, and protractors
Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and communication skills
